This is the Santa Clara Vanguard drumline. They are playing sixteenth notes and only sixteenth notes. But, they are playing them with exactness. Every one...exactly together with the other members of the drumline. Notice how at times each one of them is playing the beat slightly differently than each other, but they are exactly together.
What does this teach you? This is an excellent example of learning the basics, learning them with precision, learning them with perfection in mind. Only after you learn the basics and learn them well, can you move on to bigger and more complicated things. When you feel like we are repeating the same basic lessons over and over again, realize that there IS a reason.
